Foundation
Course [Enrolment
Form]
According to the method of Liane Collot d’Herbois
The painting course is taught over a three year period. There
are two blocks of 5 days each year. It may be taken as a course
in its own right, or as a foundation for the ‘Training
in Painting Therapy’. The background research for the
course is taken mainly from the work of Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925),
Johann W. V. Goethe (1749-1832), and Liane Collot d’Herbois
(1907-1999).
The course takes a fresh look at light, darkness
and colour in relationship to the human being. Students work
through a series of charcoal and painting exercises to stimulate
a new awareness of colour phenomena. They are taught how to
bring the colour movements into form so that they can experience
the artistic side to the Liane Collot d’Herbois method
of painting. Working with colour in this method has a healing
effect on the student and helps develop new faculties of perception.
It also quickens the ability to make insightful connections
between seemingly unrelated phenomena. The course is taught
in many different venues all over Australia.
Sally Matin teaches this course. She is an accredited teacher
of this method of painting.
