Foundation Painting
Course
According to the method of Liane Collot d’Herbois
The Foundation Course is taught over a three-year period.
There are two blocks of
5 days each year. It may be taken as a course in its own right,
or as a foundation for the ‘Training in Painting Therapy’.
The course takes a fresh look at light, darkness and colour
in relationship to the human being. Students work through
a series of charcoal and painting exercises to stimulate a
new awareness of colour phenomena. They are taught how to
bring the colour movements into form so that they can experience
the artistic side to the Liane Collot d’Herbois method
of painting. The course is taught in many different venues
all over Australia.

Painting Therapy
Training - Australia
According to the method of Liane Collot d’Herbois.
The Painting Therapy Training is taught over a four-year period.
There are two blocks of 5 weeks each year. The therapeutic
training will deepen the work already begun in the Foundation
Course. The 12 basic light and darkness exercises will be
studied in great depth, together with the corresponding colour
world. Emphasis will be placed on bringing the students into
a living relationship with the archetypal colour movements.
They will experience the colour movements through their own
artistic work, and through observing other examples where
the archetypal colour movements manifest both in a healthy
and not so healthy way. The student will learn how to build
up a picture of the human being out of light, darkness and
colour. Application of this knowledge will form the foundation
for learning how to diagnose a client’s pictures and
how to project a possible path of healing. Emphasis is placed
on helping the student to develop the appropriate senses and
faculties needed to become a painting therapist.

Artistic Weekends
The Artistic Weekends have been adapted to suit different
situations, where it is not necessary to learn about the colour
movements before having a very enjoyable experience of colour.
They provide greater opportunity for concentrating on a chosen
area of interest. The dates are more flexible and the size
of the group can vary according to need.
